Requirements for the anti-fog test chamber:

It is mainly used for testing fog formation on car headlights under rainy conditions, simulating whether the headlights will fog up when starting in a rainy environment with inconsistent temperatures inside and outside the lamp. The test chamber can simulate various environments, such as outdoor environment, engine environment, temperature and humidity, rain exposure, temperature and humidity, etc. The "outside the vehicle" area on the left focuses on simulating the impact of rain and fog on the lamp cover, integrating a cold water rainfall system to simulate the impact of raindrops, and controlling constant temperature and humidity, wind speed and illumination to precisely simulate seasonal and diurnal environmental changes, and visually display the process of heat and moisture exchange on the cover. The "inside the vehicle" area on the right simulates the interior environment, particularly focusing on the impact of high engine temperatures on the lamps, with functions of high and low temperature cycling, constant temperature and humidity, and wind speed control.


Functions that the equipment can achieve: Carry out temperature and humidity regulation control for both the left and right boxes. The left box should also have a spray system and a lighting system, while the right box should have a ventilation and drying system.

Sprinkler system: Equipped with multiple nozzles, the flow rate, pressure and water temperature can be adjusted and controlled. It can continuously spray for 12 hours.

Lighting system: The irradiation intensity can be adjusted and controlled. It monitors the temperature of the blackboard and is equipped with multiple bulbs.

Control system: The sprinkler system and lighting system can be controlled in sequence, and there is an overlapping working area.

Test methods and principles:

The automotive fogging test mainly employs three methods: the gloss method calculates the fogging value by measuring the change in reflectivity of the glass plate before and after condensation; the fog degree method assesses the change in transmittance; the weight method directly measures the difference in mass of the aluminum foil before and after condensation. The test typically simulates the fogging situation of vehicle lights or interior components when subjected to sudden temperature changes, with the temperature range reaching from -40℃ to 150℃, and the humidity control accuracy being ±2% RH.
