Description
The JOEO Thermal vaccum Chamber is a device mainly used to simulate environmental conditions in space. The most common applications of the thermal vacuum chamber (TVC) involve satellite performance testing, thermal cycle control, and testing components, subsystems, and complete satellites in a fully controlled environment. These tests enable accurate reproduction of spatial conditions by simultaneously controlling two environmental parameters, pressure and temperature.
 

Description

Structure Feature

External agency
The outer body of the JOEO  thermal vaccum chamber is made of high-quality stainless steel, and the thickness of the steel is optimized to withstand the pressure difference of the internal and external environment. Welding and surface finishing to minimize leakage rates and exhaust for deep vacuum.

Thermal field
The test volume of the thermal vaccum chamber (TVC) is a temperature-controlled stainless steel cylinder, called a shield, which transfers heat to the DUT by irradiating its inner surface. Two disk-shaped heat shields close the ends of the cylinder to achieve a uniform temperature field around the device under test (DUT). The shield consists of two laminated sheets with a gap of a few millimeters between them. This space is used for the passage of hot fluids from the thermal power generation system. The surface is coated with a special black paint that forms a layer with a high emissivity (> 0.9) and a low RML (recover mass loss <1% at 150°C), thus maximizing heat exchange under high vacuum conditions.
